Day 15: 30 Days of Self Portraits

Earth 🌳💚

Image: Self Portrait, pastel pencil and patterned/textured scrapbook paper

This portrait felt really good to do... I've been working with the element of earth a lot lately. I'm needing to find my ground in this 3D world, and that seems to be a challenge for me. I'm easily in the energy of fire, burning hot and jumping into whatever experience I want next. I can get lost in the energy of Air, spacing out and swirling in the energy of my imagination for hours. I can stay too deep in the energy of water, diving into my feelings with the music on and seeing where that takes me creatively (this can get intense). I need more Earth... more care for my body, more deep breaths, more of a lot of things earthy... to find my place within this earth magic... following my own rainbow to the pot-o-gold 🍀🌞💚🤣

"Move swift as the Wind and closely-formed as the Wood. Attack like the Fire and be still as the Mountain." —Sun Tzu, The Art of War

For the love of a tree..

She went out on a limb.

For the love of the sea..

She rocked the boat.

For the love of the earth..

She dug deeper.

For the love of community..

She mended fences.

For the love of the stars..

She let her light shine.

For the love of spirit..

She nurtured her soul.

For the love of a good time..

She sowed seeds of happiness.

For the love of the Goddess..

She drew down the moon.

For the love of nature..

She made compost.

For the love of a good meal..

She gave thanks.

For the love of family..

She reconciled differences.

For the love of creativity..

She entertained new possibilities.

For the love of her enemies..

She suspended judgment.

For the love of herself..

She acknowledged her worth.

And the world was richer for her.
